Silence is NOT your weakness. It is a POWERFUL and SENSIBLE TOOL used to keep yourself out of the negative space. You will PROTECT your happy space by being out of trouble. Silence shows your CONTROL over your mind. It shows how EFFECTIVELY you understand the situation and are choosing to not waste time on unnecessary arguments. Sometimes the INTELLIGENT answer is in your silence.
You avoid saying HURTFUL and STUPID words to someone which you regret later. Anger expects a sudden reaction which does most of the harm in the relationships, whereas Silence can reduce that tension and provides you space to think and to calm down. You can also avoid making mistakes by staying silent when you are not sure what to say.
1. LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND
By staying silent you can listen. Sometimes people tell you your problems not because they want you to find a SOLUTION but because they just want to let their FEELINGS out. By listening you HELPED your friend and it also IMPROVES your relationship with that person.
2. AVOID ARGUMENTS
Arguments and fights take place when FRUSTRATION and irritation between people explode, which takes away the POWER of clear thinking. During the situations of ANGER, you need to calm yourself down and stay QUIET. Fights doesn’t resolve issues. Most effective is to take that time to STAND BACK and analyze. Make a conversation when time is right.
Change is always good. If you are always the first one to start the CONVERSATION, then you should try to sit back once and let others do it for you. It will be REFRESHING for you and little change in SCHEDULE often leads to an exciting path. Keep your mind open for others and their ideas.
