Any small, good or bad habits can change our lives, we will be either moving towards great health and wealth or moving towards exact opposite.

These habits are so simple and easy to apply, anyone can just adapt without pushing them self too much. Does your mind brings up questions like what’s the purpose of your life? What exactly are you doing here?

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going

Remember, you don’t have to do too much of anything, you just need to work for few mins everyday. Anything you want to achieve just needs consistency.

1. EXERCISE\WALK

We all can easily add 15-20 mins walk to our daily routine or it can be 15 mins of simple stretching and exercise. Just 15 min daily builds up to 5, 475 mins (365*15=5475 mins) in one year, that’s 91 hrs. of walk yearly. Of course, we may miss few days here and there, but we may walk extra on some days.

Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.” – Joseph Pilates

Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.

Currently, I am taking good advantage of my work from home situation due to COVID-19. It is saving time from my daily commute which I have been utilizing in exercising. I have been walking during morning and evening. I also added some skipping and push ups to it.

2. MEDITATION

First two points covers both body and mind, what else do you want if you can keep your mind and body fit. Did I hear we want money too? Of course, but that’s coming in next points. Let’s sort out our body and mind first.

“Meditation is like a gym in which you develop the powerful mental muscles of calm and insight.”– Ajahn Brahm

Meditation is like a gym in which you develop the powerful mental muscles of calm and insight.

You don’t need much to start, just sit down anywhere and try to read your mind, what’s happening around you, separate yourself from things around you and try to observe the world. Or just sit down and focus on your breathing. It can make big difference if we can do this for few mins daily and consistently.

3. GRATITUDE\THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACHIEVED

We all have little problem; we take everything for granted. Education, Family, Parents, Kids, Cars, House, clothing, food. Imagine living or growing up without any of these. It’s tough and lot of people in this world struggling to get these basic things.

“Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.” —Jim Rohn

Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.

We should be thankful for what we have achieved, so we can appreciate everything around us lot more. We move to next step to achieving bigger things once we start appreciation what we have already. So, we don’t work for money but instead for our goals.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” —Willie Nelson

4. WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS AND READ YOUR GOALS ALOUD DAILY

“One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.” —Michael Korda

One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.

You don’t need to re-write your goals everyday though 😊, but always keep updating them. Important thing is to keep in-front of you where you can see them and read them daily. So, you think about your goals and act towards them. You need to think what you can do to make it happen, think what you can do today to change your life and may be in few years you will achieve what you want.

Take those small steps today and build your better future. Time is essence, we can’t afford to lose time, so we need to take small steps daily to make things happen.

Remember, Rome was not built in single day.

If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else.

5. READ MOTIVATIONAL BOOKS OR LISTEN\WATCH MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO

“When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.” – Erasmus

When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.

We tend to get distracted or lose our path over time and it needs a reset.

Books or motivational videos are the one of the best ways to keep yourself motivated. There is always lot to learn, we can’t learn enough. We need to keep going back to books to get that knowledge.

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” ― John Holmes

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.

We don’t have to donate all our money or work all day to help others, it can be as simple as –

  • Giving smile
  • Holding Doors
  • Hold Elevator for others
  • Let other people pass while walking or driving
  • Help Old people on road or picking up groceries
  • Don’t yell at people while driving
  • Create room for others

7. EAT HEALTHY FOOD

We are what we eat, our body needs right food to stay in good shape.

It’s not an easy task, our mind craves for sugar and salt. Try replacing bad food with good options which still makes you feel better. I don’t mean replacing regular coke with Coke Zero, it’s still bad, try replacing bad food with fruits, nuts.
