11 THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO AT STORES DURING PANDEMIC

Social Distancing is helping lot of countries to deal with COVID-19 and it’s seems like the only option currently until we get the vaccine. It is required from each one of us to contribute in order to end this pandemic and which will in return help our society to come out strong.

Sometimes, it’s those small things which really matter, and just by avoiding few things we can prevent the spread.

1. PAYING CASH

It scares me when I see someone in front of line is paying by cash at the checkout. We are going through time when we need to take every possible step to make sure we don’t transmit Coronavirus. We don’t know how cash has traveled before you got it and avoiding it will help to stop the spread.

2. TOUCHING THINGS WHICH YOU ARE NOT PLANNING TO BUY

Social Distancing

It feels like war zone when we go for groceries these days, we can sense the tension in air.

We should not touch the product unnecessarily in the stores if we know that we are not going to buy it. It’s not the time to try out things anymore. We should try to minimize our touch and pick the things which we are sure to buy.

3. GOING FOR SHOPPING WHEN YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL

Social Distance - Quarantine

It’s time to be more responsible for your family and for others. We live in society and we have responsibility towards everyone around us.

You should avoid going to stores if you are having fever, cough or any other symptoms. It’s easier to get the things delivered to you in such situations. By doing so you will be saving others as well as yourself.

4. SHOPPING WITHOUT WEARING MASK

Social Distancing - Mask

It has become evident that using mask helps to prevent the spread and it reduces the chances of getting the virus. You have higher chance of protecting yourself and other people around you.

5. FOOD HORDING\BUYING TOO MUCH

I always do my Grocery on Friday morning; it was mid-March when I went for my regular Grocery and couldn’t find parking when usually it’s just 10-15 cars in parking lot. It was the biggest line up I have ever seen in the Grocery store. People were packing stuff, like there will be no tomorrow.

It is recommended to just take little extra but not everything. We can take few items more but shouldn’t take so much that there is nothing left for other people.

We need to think about everyone not just us.

6. GETTING TOO MUCH CLOSE TO OTHER PEOPLE

Social Distancing - 6 Feet

We need to be extra careful while going to stores. There will be lot more people at the same time and it’s important to understand that we don’t get close to other people. It’s making people very uncomfortable these days. We should maintain the distance of 2 meter from one another.

7. NOT WAITING FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO PASS

What you will do if you want to buy Pasta and someone else is already in that section?

We should wait for another person to finish and go there once they are gone. It takes just few extra minutes but it makes big difference.

8. NOT FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONAL LINES\MARKER IN STORES

Most of the stores have drawn directional lines or marker on the store floor recently. They want you to go in one direction, so you won’t cross other people so closely. It’s really helps if everyone follow these guidelines.

9. NOT FOLLOWING STORE INSTRUCTIONS

Every store is coming up with the instructions to help everyone to make sure we don’t spread the virus in stores. It’s important to keep the stores open, so we can keep getting groceries.

10. TAKING YOUR KIDS FOR SHOPPING

Kids have habit of exploring and touching stuff. It will be very difficult to keep your kids under close supervision during your store visit. It will be best to leave them home for your kids’ and everyone’s safety.

11. GETTING UPSET AT STORE EMPLOYEES

It’s difficult time for everyone, I am so proud of Grocery store workers who are still going out there and working to make sure we get the food. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for them to keep working in this situation when we are dealing with such a contiguous virus.

It’s important we pay proper respect to store employees who are working in tough times.

GOOD LUCK!, WASH YOUR HANDS AND STAY SAFE.

Great tips! Thank you. I think you covered all the basses. What about one about how to prepare ourselves before going grocery shopping. What should we bring with us. Steps to take before and after….
